SRDP Defense Forum 2025
The SRDP Defense Industry Forum 2025, organized by the AFP Systems Engineering and Modernization Office with DND’s Office of Defense Technology Research and Industry Development, gathered government, academe, R&D, and local manufacturers to strengthen collaboration for a resilient Philippine defense industry. Key talks and panel discussions featured leaders from government, industry, and universities on building defense capabilities, S&T’s crucial role, and R&D directions. Day 2 included breakout sessions on policy, investment, and technology transfer. The event highlighted the need for synergy among government, academe, and industry.

Philippines was this year’s host country as GPPB-TSO and World Bank organized this event with their partners Asian Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank and Climate Support Facility. The event was well attended with delegates from the regional offices and procurement experts from various government agencies and private organizations came together. Interesting panel discussions were held as guest speakers shared best practices and insights to highlight transformative initiatives in public procurement.
